Preparing for Hurricane Irma
On September 4th, Governor Rick Scott issued Executive Order 17-235 declaring a state of emergency in all 67 counties within the State of Florida in response to Hurricane Irma – a major Category 4 storm approaching Florida. Governor Scott said, “Hurricane Irma is a major and life-threatening storm and Florida must be prepared.” Following this Executive Order, Governor Scott has issued evacuation orders for several Florida counties and ordered Florida school and several State office closures.
With this in mind and for the safety of our team, the Men’s Divorce Law Firm will close September 8th at 5:30 pm and will remain closed through September 11th. We plan to reopen our doors on September 12th, weather and situation permitting. Although our office will be closed, we will monitor emails and calls so that we may continue to assist our clients and those seeking assistance with family law issues. You can reach the Men’s Divorce Law Firm by email or by calling 407-896-2677. If our team does not immediately respond, please know that this may be due to extreme weather circumstances or power outages. However we will respond as soon as possible.
Governor Scott also said, “In Florida, we know that the best way to protect our families in severe weather is to have a plan. I urge all Floridians to remain vigilant and stay alert to local weather and news and visit FLGetAPlan.com today as we all prepare for Hurricane Irma.” Here are some additional resources to prepare yourself, your family and your business for the potential impacts from this storm:
